Beatles Day
Dig out your mop-top wigs because Beatles Day is back. Due to it’s success last year, the 10th July has been rechristened as Beatles Day!
It will be 24 hours when the people of Liverpool and other cities of the world, will show their love for the Fab Four and raise money for the The Imagine Appeal and the Marina Dalglish Appeal.
Beatles Day raised a whopping £50k in 1 day just in Liverpool last year and this year it is going international, with Beatles Day mop-top wigs being sold all over the world on www.beatlesday.tv!
And there’ll be loads of fun to be had on the day:
- The Beatles Day Charity Fun Run takes place at lunchtime on Friday 10th July. Everyone can take part as it's only 1 mile around the Liverpool Echo Arena. You'll have to wear your mop-top to take part though! Don't worry you'll get one free with your entrance fee. Dust off your sixties gear as there'll be prizes of shopping vouchers for best dressed team and best dressed individual as well as loads of other giveaways including Real Radio goodies. - The climax of Beatles Day will be the Concert at Liverpool Arena on 10th July - dress code Beatles of course! The concert will be hosted by TV star Ricky Tomlinson and the organisers are promising you won't be disappointed with the host of special guest stars they have lined up to sing with house band for the night - the Backbeat Beatles.
- Get dressed up in your favourite mini dress or skinny suit and get on down to the fantastic celebration of Beatles music at the Liverpool Echo Arena on 10th July! Wear your mop-top with pride in the name of charity!
