Make sure you keep the 4th and 5th July free in your diary. That's because you'll have a flutterly brilliant time at this year's St.Helens Festival in Sherdley Park!

The Festival will be full to the brim with activities for everyone to get involved in. The fast-paced, high adrenalin Main Arena includes motorbike and horse stunts and dog displays, whilst the popular Children’s World (every child’s heaven) will have a beach, Punch and Judy, donkeys, facepainting, circus skills, a stage and crazy golf to keep the little ones busy!

There'll be a Community, Country and Heritage area featuring craft,flowers and wildlife; a Sheep Show, Civil War Society, Rangers Service, RSPCA Fun Dog Show and a Flower Show.

In the Creative St.Helens area you can enjoy generous helpings of musical, artistic and theatrial talent including a visual art exhibition, dance groups, music groups, poetry, theatre, street entertainers, Music Network, break Dancing, urban arts and more.

For the more sporty there's an ever-growing Sports area featuring Rugby coaching by Saints RLFC, football and basketball tournaments, triathlon, Break Dancing, urban sports, skateboarding / BMX and Cheerleaders, whilst for those pursuing a healthier lifestyle there’s a Healthy Living Zone featuring Healthy School Meals, Go Active, Health Checks, PCT, Performance Arena and more.

As if that’s not enough, there is a new for ’09 Kite Festival, the annual equestrian, military displays, ’Big Giveaway’ competition, Smiley Land Train, Morris Dancing, Classic Cars, Super Jumper, Inflatables, Go-karts, Quads and Funfair. Truly something for everyone!
