About Alder Hey Children's Hospital

Alder Hey Children's Hospital is the largest in Europe, caring for more children than any other hospital in the UK.
The Alder Hey Imagine Appeal was launched in 2005 to support the pioneering work of the busiest children's hospital in Europe. Alder Hey has a world class reputation for saving the lives of sick children and a proud history of medical achievement and clinical innovation. It is an international centre of excellence, caring for around 250,000 children a year.
Chris Done, Senior Fundraising Manager for The Alder Hey Imagine Appeal said; "We are delighted, along with Manchester Children's Hospital, to be the nominated charity for Real Radio for 2009. Alder Hey Imagine Appeal relies on support like this to ensure the hospital can continue with its pioneering work and to improve the quality of life for the 250,000 young patients we see each year. We are looking forward to working with the team at Real/Real who are very committed to making a real difference to the north west community."
Proud of its history and committed to building a future, Alder Hey is at the heart of a huge community and of course, where there are children, there are families and friends to be considered. Alder Hey has the friendly atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome.
