About New Children's Hospital Appeal
The New Children's Hospital Appeal is proud to be working in partnership with Real Radio to help thousands of children across the North West and beyond.
The New Children's Hospital Appeal was launched in 2006, and aims to raise £20 million* to help fund projects within the new hospital. In January 2009 the Appeal announced it had raised £18,000,000. The appeal will focus on two main areas:
• Ensuring that the new state-of-the-art buildings have the very best equipment available for diagnosis and treatment
• Providing accommodation and facilities for parents on and close to their child's ward within the new hospital.

Manchester's existing children's hospitals currently receive over 150,000 patient visits a year from children all over the North West and beyond. When the new hospital opens, the facility will be able to provide the highest standard of treatment within the best facility. The new hospital will have more beds, additional operating theatres. There will also be outdoor play spaces, a teenage ‘chill-out' and meeting area, and sitting rooms for parents.
With your support, the Appeal will enhance the new children's hospital by going the extra mile to ensure thousands of children and their families receive the very best in healthcare with the biggest and best children's hospital in the UK.
