Bike Unite, a 37 mile bike ride from Manchester to Liverpool in support of The New Children’s Hospital Appeal and the Alder Hey Imagine Appeal. The route starting at Salford Quays will see cyclists riding along the Manchester Ship Canal and the Transpennine Way to finish at Calderstones Park in Liverpool.
The New Children’s Hospital Appeal will focus on two main areas ensuring that the new state-of-the-art buildings have the best equipment available for diagnosis and treatment and providing accommodation so that parents can stay on or close to their child’s ward during treatment.
IMAGINE is the name of Alder Hey's charity - a fundraising initiative that helps to continue pioneering work at Europe’s busiest children’s hospital, where around 250,000 children and young people are cared for every year. Imagine aims to improve the quality of life for children in hospital through research, funding the latest medical equipment, improving facilities for patients and their families and creating a child-focused environment.

The Real Radio Team would like to thank Bicycle Boutique in Manchester for their support and advice for the team during this event. Although the team where not convinced when Jamie suggested they try to do 37 miles on a Tandem
